While it may take a bit to get there, this new state park in KS is most definitely worth the trip for any nature lover. This is a one-of-a-kind landscape in Kansas and the state’s largest Niobrara Chalk formation.
The park features a mile long stretch of 100′ tall spires and cliffs. The formations are the remnants of an inland sea that once covered Kansas territory.
It’s not what one would expect to see on the Kansas prairie and I can’t wait to check it out. See you on the trails!
