The football world seems to be in awe of just how the Kansas City Chiefs managed to keep this team intact. The fans here in KC know just how special this team is and the recent events surrounding the team have proven just how right we are.
Some of the biggest names in football have taken back loaded contracts with one thing in mind. Keeping the core team together and winning more Super Bowls. Mahomes, Kelce, Jones, Watkins and more have all taken less on the front end to pull this off.
At a time when everyone seems concerned with getting the biggest contract possible, these guys are taking cuts to be in Kansas City. It’s just one more reason to love the Kansas City Chiefs.
As the uncertainty surrounding the NFL seasons continues, broadcasters are exploring ways to provide the fans with a normal viewing experience. According to Joe Buck, that may involve placing CGI fans in the seats and adding crowd noises to the broadcast.
In an interview this week with Andy Cohen Buck said “There’s probably going to be a season in doing games with no fans, which will be difficult, I think Fox and these networks have to put crowd noise under us to make it a normal viewing experience at home.”
As the interview went on Buck all but confirmed that it is likely to happen. Chiefs fans know first hand just how important a crowd can be at Arrowhead. Let’s hope for our sake that this does not come to pass.
I was a tad skeptical of the NFL Draft last night but it turned out to be semi entertaining. It’s been so long since anything of substance happened in the sports world I think it could have been a paint drying contest and I would have watched.
I was pleasantly surprised when the Chiefs selected a stud RB out of LSU with the 32nd pick of round one. Clyde Edwards-Helaire won a championship with LSU last season and expects to win another with the Chiefs in 2020.
Edwards-Helaire stands at 5’7″ and weighs in at 209 lbs. He is great in open space and has been compared to Chiefs great Priest Holmes. We’re excited to have you Clyde! Welcome to Chiefs Kingdom.
