Kamp Kanakuk has reported 82 cases of COVID-19 from the K-2 camp as of Monday. The cases were reported from both counselors and campers alike.
The K-2 camp has been temporarily suspended and they are in the process of testing and sanitizing. The camp has hosted 5,000 campers from 10 different states so far this summer.
Dr. Randall Williams, the Director of Missouri DHSS has said he will not recommend shutting down the camp at this time. With school hopefully starting in the fall, this will be a story to watch. We’ll post updates as they are made available.
