The first NFL Oakley collection has been released and people can’t seem to get enough of them. Things just keep looking up for Patrick Mahomes. You can own a pair of your own for just $196.00. They really are some sharp looking shades.
Are you going into shopping withdrawal? Shop local and online for next years St. Patrick’s day KC gear. Made in KC is a great way to support local artists and makers. Over $.90 of every dollar spent at Made In KC stays in our community. This is a great way to save some money and represent KC.
It is with a heavy heart that I post this. Mrs. Flora Blackwell, the long time owner and operator of Blackwell’s Thrift in KC, MO passed away in February at the age of 93. Since the passing of Mrs. Blackwell her family is doing their best to remain open. Be sure to check with the store for hours.
People have been shopping at this thrift store for years and it always gets rave reviews. Known for their awesome collection of cookwares you’d find in your grandmas kitchen and the extensive glass collection organized by color, this place has a reputation for always being tidy and well kept. Fans of the store find it easy to search for what they want rather than rummage through a bunch of junk.
This is definitely a place in its own class! They have a huge selection of pots/pans, cookware (inc Corningware), bakeware, glassware, and all kinds of accessories. They also have lots of glass, crystal, and porcelain figurines, vases, candlesticks, and decorative bowls. I saw a good selection of wall art and mirrors as well. Very well-organized!
If a whole bunch of grannies got together and pooled their stuff in one place, it would be this store. The woman that works here is dear and she would probably be your granny if you asked her to be. The store is well organized and clean, and chock full of goodies. This is a great place to explore and reminisce (My mom/grandma/great aunt had that in her kitchen!) If you like to be eco-friendly and buy used instead of new, this is a good place to stock your kitchen.
