Walmart will be hosting a spectacular holiday light show using 1000 drones that will light up the night sky over KS Speedway tonight. The drones will make up three-dimensional seasonal shapes and characters as they dance to modern and classical Christmas favorites.
The event is free to the public but sold out weeks ago. If you didn’t manage to get a ticket, the company will do a special live stream of the event on their social media pages on Sat., Dec. 5 at 6:40 p.m. CT.
Those in attendance will watch the show from the safety of their own car or a designated viewing area right next to their car.
The 100′ tree is currently in route from Oregon and will arrive at Crown Center tomorrow at 9am. The tree will be placed in it’s stand on Friday, November 6th at approximately 10am. The tree will be lit during the annual lighting ceremony the day after Thanksgiving. More to come on times for the lighting ceremony.
The exhibit features over 100 artists and is the largest street art gallery in Kansas City. Graffiti Attic in Union Station is free to the public this Friday and every first Friday from 2pm – 9pm. The gallery is located in the attic space on Union Station’s 7th floor. You can enter at the northwest corner of Grand Hall.
A mask covering both the mouth and nose is required for entry.
Be sure to bring your scary little monsters and princesses to QuikTrip tomorrow and they’ll get a free ice cream cone. Not a bad deal considering most everyone lives within a mile or two of a QT and we’ll have great weather. Have a Happy Halloween!
